Here is what our clients have been saying about us......
I had the pleasure of working with Jyothi for a project in the Dallas area. It was a two day workshop to begin laying the groundwork for a business process redesign initiative for the company. Jyothi was the featured presenter for the second day, where she introduced the Service Design Methodology. This methodology is a human-centric business process improvement that places equal value on the customer experience and the business process, aiming to create quality customer experiences and seamless service delivery. Jyothi had a comprehensive and engaging presentation that introduced the core concepts of Service Design, while aligning with and supporting the clients service initiative. Jyothi created concrete examples for the participants, and had useful breakout sessions to help them think about this new concept and allowed them to realize how it applied to their jobs, and the company's focus. You could almost see the wheels turning in the audiences minds as she took them through the presentation, as they thought about what they did, how they did it, and what affect it had on the customer experience. The result of her presentation was a lengthy brainstorming session that provided a wealth of ideas to improve their customers experience, as well as a ranking session which identified and categorized those ideas to help management understand the urgency and ease of implementation. It is never easy to be the presenter on the second day of a workshop, but Jyothi's knowledge of the subject matter, as well as her presentation style made for an engaging and productive day for our client. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jyothi on an Iknow project for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit. The overall project was about redesigning DART’s candidate recruitment business process. Jyothi demonstrated her customer experience (CX) design expertise as the workstream lead for Service Design. Specifically, Jyothi created and delivered a three-hour training workshop on the Service Design Methodology. She prepared all the workshop materials and a written handout that highlighted the key points. I recommend Jyothi to anyone needing help with CX design. Walkez Talkez is a provider of speech-language, feeding and social group therapy servicing children in the Dallas metro area. We brought in Jyothi from Mind Your Gaps to provide her services to improve the onboarding process of new hires, and that of the existence staff, along with an improvement of our processes, procedures and finally, documenting them.
Jyothi started with conducting interviews of the staff and clinicians (the therapists). She took time to understand the multitude of processes and procedures used at the clinic by both the admins and clinicians. She then used the information to better streamline and optimize the processes, at the same time documenting them step by step. She also created a manual to onboard new hires that we could use to build their knowledge and skills. This greatly helped the new hire and the staff who were guiding them. In the past, the amount and complexity of new tasks overwhelmed them but with the manual created by Jyothi where she has broken down the entire Onboarding to a flow of topics from week 1 to week 8, it is now much more efficient, productive and less frustrating for the new employee. It has helped our processes and given a significantly better experience for both existing and new employees.
The quality of Jyothi’s work is a testament of her demonstrated passion and commitment to it. I would highly recommend the services of her company Mind Your Gaps, to any business looking to improve their employee Onboarding and building a better employee and customer experience. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission hired Jyothi Shankar of Mind Your Gaps as a contracted trainer to teach librarians and adult education and literacy providers about the digital literacy toolkit that our agency developed with a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission. Her charge was to develop and present workshop course content derived from the digital literacy toolkit and include content that enabled attendees to learn how to use the toolkit and to provide digital literacy training. She provided training at 10 TSLAC-sponsored workshops around the state and at 3 Literacy Texas symposiums between January and May 2017.
Jyothi did an excellent job developing the content of the training. She submitted all required materials by project deadlines, and her commitment to the success of the project was apparent. The training she developed was well organized, clearly focused and presented, and included introductory information and background on the toolkit’s development, an introduction to concepts of assessment and grouping for instruction, a clear overview of the arrangement of the toolkit, and best practices in adult education. The training was interactive and included time for attendees to share information and to work independently and in groups. She had strong listening skills and was able to integrate new information in successive trainings based on attendee discussion. She was flexible about making changes to meet the needs of the project, and was responsive at all times. Jennifer Peters, 2019 Community Engagement Administrator | Texas State Library and Archives Commission
Jyothi has done work for IKS Health assisting with some of our international re-locations. We recognize how hard it is for someone to acclimate to the US environment and Jyothi's services were perfect for speeding up this process. She is able to assist the employees on all levels from professional to personal and all of the feedback we received was incredibly positive. I highly recommend Jyothi and her services for management training in a wide variety of areas. Her services are very effective and you can see the value she adds immediately. Sharon Kay, 2017 Associate Vice-President of Human Resources, IKS Health, USA I took part in the training for "Being an Effective Manager Across Cultures" at Mind Your Gaps. The best part was the Instructor, Jyothi's knowledge of the subject. She engaged me as the participant and encouraged my views. She was able to get me to talk and share my experiences. She handles the meeting very passionately and is very engrossed. I would highly recommend this course for those working with teams overseas and managers moving to the USA. Ankur Chugh, 2018 Vice President Client Services, IKS Health, USA
I liked all the topics in the training for "Being an Effective Manager Across Cultures" which I recently took. The topics about improving the relationships, interactions and overall effectiveness of working with clients and all stakeholders in the US were most useful and important. I think the teams working with the client offshore and on shore or our employees relocating will definitely benefit from this training. People who are travelling for the first time to another country on business and do not know the ethics of the other country, people who are new to client interactions and do not understand the culture differences and relationships of the host country will greatly benefit. The Knowledge and coaching content was very good. I liked the preparedness and active engagement during the training. I would definitely like to be a part of Jyothi's classroom training as I am sure based on her knowledge and skills the training session would be great. I think using a trainer with international experience is important as the trainers can use their practical knowledge and train the team based on their experience and international exposure. The training vendor within the country can be good in theoretical knowledge but cannot provide the practical experience and examples as compared to someone who has actually worked internationally like Jyothi from Mind Your Gaps. Amit Sharma, 2018 Director Client Services, IKS Health, USA
I had the pleasure of going through sessions on "Being Effective Across Business Cultures" with Jyothi. This was one of the best sessions that I have been to so far in my career. The topics were great. It chalks the vivid & distinct cultural approaches across employees & counter parts in Multifaceted organizations. Importantly, it also prepositions the business value & impact it can cause, I strongly recommend these sessions to anyone who has to travel for business across countries or manages onshore/offshore co-ordinations. This training will give an edge to make a strong impact with clients & customers across the globe. With Global businesses emerging, this training will help any and all organization & its employees to succeed. Sudhir Kshirsagar, 2018 Client Business Operations Director, IKS Health, USA
What I really liked about the Green track I took with Jyothi this summer
Discussion on interview topics. Covered questions which are not generally covered in any such coaching.
Provided a platform to openly talk about your fears and ways to overcome them. It is not possible in a large group or sessions.
Nice handouts and we were told HOW to use them. I had lot of handouts but was always stuck on how I use them, you taught us how I use them to my benefit.
I really loved the LinkedIn session tooJ
Exceed the expectations from what I initially thought. I was just expecting it to be a dissociated session and not so interactive, but it was really a success.

I took the Green track/Entering the workforce coaching with Jyothi. The involvement of the instructor in the particular field was so much and it helped me as I got to know the interviewer’s side of story as to what they expect and what in particular might have went wrong in my previous interviews, when I thought everything was perfect but I still didn’t get the opportunity! Although I have worked before, it was in another country and this course is helping me with how to interview here in this country. Tarun Bhatia, Graduate Student, 2015 University of Illinois at Chicago
I have attended online sessions on Professional Development by Mind Your Gaps. Jyothi was our coach for these sessions. The sessions were interactive and it was great learning experience. Jyothi was very helpful, encouraged us to speak up in the sessions and also provided many tips and guidance on writing elevator pitches and practicing them, improving our resume', learning to effectively use Linkedin and other forms of networking. These sessions are indeed very useful for students who are graduating and international students and I strongly recommend taking them. Kavya Priya Sesha Sastry, Graduate Student, 2015 University of Texas at Dallas
With her background and years of experience in the education field, Jyothi exhibits strong interpersonal skills and a unique capacity for empathy. These qualities most notably translate in her ability to address the most complex business issues and translated them into very solid plans and learning solutions. A great person pleasure to work with and learn from. Denis Abgrall, Director, Global Programs Alcatel-Lucent, France
Really enjoyed working with Jyothi, who I got to know as a committed learning consultant and relationship builder with her clients. Clients feedback was constantly very positive because of Jyothi's clear ability to thoroughly listen to their requests, (co-)analyze learning needs and designing and deploying learning solutions. Jyothi participated to the LC Development program I organized and facilitated and presented a clearly much appreciated LC program during her LC accreditation session. Her client was present and vouched for the good work she'd done. In her role as a Strategic LC, Jyothi's had to forecast learning requirements for a number of organizations and has had to contribute to determining the learning budgets for those organizations. Peter Declercq, Change Management Leader Alcatel-Lucent, Antwerp area, Belgium
Jyothi made sure we were well-aligned with our stakeholders and meeting their needs. She was responsive in her communications, letting me know when priorities were changing so we could keep our efforts on track. Her effective presentations and status reports ensures the stakeholders and the project team were in-synch and successful. MJ Abell Learning & Development Specialist at The Ohio State University, USA
Jyothi is very customer-focused. She and I worked on an employee learning project together at Alcatel-Lucent. Jyothi managed the project from start to finish and communicated effectively with colleagues remotely located in EMEA and APAC. She was very conscientious about understanding our internal client's training and performance needs, and providing timely, appropriate, and cost effective learning solutions. She identified the job competencies for several departments within the Business and IT Transformation organization, defined the curricula, and developed a customized website to provide globally located employees with easy access to the learning options. The executive client and the HR lead communicated their appreciation of Jyothi's work to the VP of Alcatel-Lucent University. Sandy Thompson, Learning Solutions Architect Alcatel-Lucent University, Plano, TX
I have been lucky to meet Jyothi and to partner with her on different projects. The contact with Jyothi is very easy, she is positive and listening and she really showed a professional attitude and approach in her Learning Consulting role. Laurent Mortamet, PMP, Strategic Learning Consultant Alcatel Lucent, Saint Brieuc Area, France
I had the pleasure of working with Jyothi during two separate instructional design assignments whilst she was based in Sydney, Australia. Both were project based positions during which I found her to be a motivated and capable designer of highly effective curriculums. Jyothi always demonstrated a highly collaborative approach in the workplace and was able to consistently deliver the highest standard of work under what were often very tight timelines. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Jyothi to any prospective employers or business partners and would be happy to elaborate further on her specific skills or capabilities if desired. Bruce Meyer, Business Systems Trainer at SUEZ Sydney, Australia
Jyothi has deep interest and expertise in designing effective blended learning solutions with a focus on user experience and understanding the business context. I have found Jyothi a pleasure to work with when she was in Australia and I hope to work with Jyothi in the future. Jeevan Joshi, Founder - Learning Cafe & Digital Workplace Adviser Sydney, Australia
